Nick Davis

Nick grew up hearing his grandfather (aka Gramp Fisher) offering this advice: “Say what you mean and mean what you say.” Nick credits those words for shaping much of his life and career:

• First during his military service – which was also somewhat inspired by Gramp Fisher, a WWII Army veteran – at age 18, Nick enlisted as an Air Force F-16 Tactical Fighter Crew Chief
• During his decade in the corporate aviation world, which allowed him to travel to nearly 60 countries
• Amidst his decision to make a complete career change in 2013 to financial services, where becoming a financial advisor gave him the opportunity to serve others in a new way

Nick worked as a financial advisor with Edward Jones for eight years before he and his wife Sarah Davis founded their own wealth management firm. They thoughtfully named the firm Hemlock Creek Wealth Management, inspired by the ability of Hemlock trees to be steadfast, enduring, and live for hundreds of years by adapting to life’s storms and seasons. For Nick and Sarah, the Hemlock tree is a symbol that reminds them to hold fast to their roots, yet be willing to bend and sway as circumstances change.

Nick believes that previous changes in his own circumstances – divorce, bankruptcy, and job loss – help him empathize with and support clients as they prepare for and manage the financial implications of the unexpected.

Being good stewards of the trust bestowed upon them is paramount for Nick and the Hemlock Creek Wealth Management team. Knowing their “why” and living into that clarity has not only served them well, but also their clients and friends. They loathe being a “number” when spending their hard-earned dollars, and for that very reason they run a practice that is focused deeply on relationships and not volume.
